What's up mates?!

I hope you all had a great week! This past week flew by for me! Last Tuesday we had a lesson with our friend, Courtney, who has a baptismal date. She is doing well!

On Thursday we drove up to Plymouth to have a meeting with the stake president and the counselor to our mission president. We talked a lot about missionary work and how we can help the members in the Plymouth Stake do missionary work. It was awesome to work with and learn from those leaders. We didn't have time to make it home that night, so we just stayed the night at the Paignton Elder's flat. It was kind of funny though; they were on exchanges with some other elders, so we kind of stole their flat for the night!

Friday we had exchanges with the St. Austell Elders. It was weird going back to my old area; but it was awesome at the same time! I was with Elder Steele, who is from Tooele. Elder Steele is a veteran missionary and I was able to learn a lot from him.

On Saturday we had a service project. We planted some trees for this man out in the middle of nowhere. It was a lot of fun!

On Sunday we had church of course which was great! Brother Zamora gave a talk that I really appreciated. He and his family are from Ecuador, and they are some of the best people I've ever met. They are so humble and nice. But he was talking about how his family had to leave Ecuador a few years back because of his wife's sickness. They couldn't get the treatments they needed in Ecuador, so they had to leave or else the wife would die. Obviously it was challenging for them to leave their home and their families and move somewhere foreign where they didn't know anyone. But he said that they had hope that things would work out how they were supposed to. They had faith that God would lead them. Then he began to say that the blessings they've received since they've been in the U.K., including joining the church, have been so huge!

I think a lot of times we don't see the bigger picture. We don't understand why things happen to us, but if we trust God, he will lead and guide us to where we are supposed to go. God loves us and wants us to be happy. I invite you all to reach out to him in prayer and study his words. I know that as you do so he will lift you and give you guidance. I've seen it so much on my mission. When I've needed answers or direction, the Lord has given it to me in his own time and in his own way. Because he knows me best. Well I hope you all are doing well. Love ya!

Kynance Cove

Hello everyone! This past week was great... and very busy!

We had a lesson with our friend, Courtney, on Tuesday. It was awesome to teach her again. She's progressing right along. On Wednesday we did a work over in Plymouth along with the elders from Redruth. It was great! It was my first time in Plymouth. It's a pretty cool city! Then we headed up to Bristol after that. We went to The Book of Mormon musical again which was so much fun! I love going there! People always come up to us instead of us going up to them. It's the best!

On Thursday we had Zone Conference. It's always great to see other missionaries and hear from President Hughes and his wife. They are both so amazing! President Hughes presented such a great training! He was telling us a story about how when the twin towers were still standing, a man walked from one top of the tower to the other on a tightrope. He then called up a missionary to be an example. He had him stand on top of a chair which was on top of a table. There was also a rope tied to another chair on top of another table about 10 yards away. Then on the projector there was a picture of the top of the towers. President Hughes then asked the missionary if he'd walk across the rope for 1,000 pounds. The missionary said "no way". Then President Hughes said "1,000,000 pounds?" And the missionary said "nope". Then President Hughes said "What about 2,000,000 pounds? That's life changing!" And the missionary said "still no". Then President Hughes pulled up a picture on the projector of this missionary's little sister and he said "If I was holding your little sister over the edge of this building ready to drop her, would you walk across the rope to save her?" And with tears in his eyes the missionary said "yes". The point that President Hughes was trying to make is that the strongest motivation we can have is love. Money and fame won't motivate you to do that much, but love will motivate you to do just about anything. So as missionaries our motivation to keep going and serving has to be because we love God and his children. It was such a powerful lesson to me. I thought you all would appreciate it as well. I wish I had a video of it, but unfortunately I don't.

I hope you all have an amazing week! Love you all!

Hello family and friends!

This week has been pretty good! Elder Fellows and I did a lot of street contacting in Falmouth and Penzance. We found some new people to teach which is great!

We put our friend, Courtney, on a baptismal date this past week as well! It was the first time I'd ever done that on my mission, so that was exciting. The date is pretty far away, but we're hoping to move it forward. Courtney is so awesome though. She's ready to be baptized.

Currently there's a storm called "Ciara" in the UK. Everyone is kind of making a big deal out of it, but it seems like normal Idaho weather in the springtime to me. But our church was cancelled yesterday because of it. And some of the roads were closed, so it was not a very fun day.

I've been driving a lot lately. It's pretty crazy driving in England if I'm being honest. First off, they drive on the wrong side of the road, and the steering wheel is on the opposite side. Then the country roads are all only wide enough for one car, yet it's a two-way road. And lastly, they have millions and millions of round-abouts that have about 4 lanes in them. So I'm pretty confident that if I can learn how to drive here, I can drive just about anywhere.

Anyways, I hope you all are doing well! I miss you all! I appreciate all the emails and prayers that you send. I'm loving serving as a missionary. It truly is the best decision I've ever made. The gospel is true. Love you all!

3. I met up with my man, Elder Kozma, this past week! It was good to see him again! He's doing really well with his new companion!

4. I saved this picture to my phone this past week. I thought I would share it with ya'll. I know it seems like a gruesome picture, and it kind of is. But the things that Jesus Christ went through for all of us was pretty gruesome. I decided to save this picture to my phone, so that when I feel like things are too hard to bear or I'm feeling sorry for myself, I can remember him. It was never easy for him, so why should it be easy for us?

Hi everyone! I hope your week was great!

This past Tuesday I moved into my new area, Helston. I've been to Helston a few times on exchanges, so I know the area a little bit already which is nice. Our house is pretty cool! It looks like a hobbit house! The door knobs are only about two feet off the ground. It's pretty funny, but I like it!

It was a really busy week this last week! Wednesday was pretty much our only day in our area. We did some work in a university town called Falmouth. Then on Thursday we did a work over with the Holsworthy elders. Elder Fellows and I met this lady who said that she had prayed the night before to learn more about Jesus Christ. It was a miracle! Hopefully the Holsworthy elders will be able to start teaching her.

After our exchange we drove to Bristol to stay the night there since we had mission leadership council the next day in Birmingham. But while we were in Bristol we went over to the Hippodrome where The Book of Mormon musical was playing. And after the play was over we started handing out pamphlets and copies of The Book of Mormon to everyone. We said "now that you've seen the play, you should read the book". It was so fun! It was probably the first time on my mission that people approached me instead of me approaching them. The majority of the people didn't beleive that we were actually missionaries though. They just kept saying "No, they're just actors. This is all part of the show." So nobody really took us serious, but it was really fun and funny!

On Friday morning, we woke up early to drive to Birmingham for mission leadership council. The council was really awesome! I learned so much from some amazing missionaries! After the council, we drove down to Paignton and stayed the night with the Paignton elders. Then on Saturday we went to the Paignton district council and then did a work over with the Newton Abbot sisters. I got to meet my new ward on Sunday which was great! They asked me to introduce myself and bear my testimony which was a great opportunity!

Everything is going good here in England! I'm loving it! My love for the savior, Jesus Christ, grows everyday, and I love being able to serve him! I hope you all are doing well! Love you all!
