Hey everybody!

How are you all doing? I hope you all are doing well. Things are going pretty good over here in Wales. We had mission leadership council last week. It was the best one that I have ever been to. I learned so much from everybody. There are some great missionaries here! We are trying to fire up the mission and have the best transfer yet. I'm excited to see how it goes!

We've been doing a lot of social media finding. At first, I didn't really like it that much, but I'm starting to actually enjoy it quite a bit. It is honestly really fun talking to new people from different places, even if it is just through technology. I started friending people in Cardiff social groups, and I met a lot of cool people. There is this refugee from Iran who lives in Cardiff. He is a Christian and wants a Book of Mormon from us. We only had 5 copies of the Book of Mormom that weren't in English. And one of them just so happened to be in Persian which is his native language. So we will try to meet with him this week to deliver it to him. I also met this lady who is from São Paulo, Brazil, but she is living in Cardiff now. She came to the U.K. 20 years ago to learn English, and she liked it so much that she decided to stay. She said that she met with missionaries when she was a teenager in Brazil. They gave her a Book of Mormon and taught her English. But she wants to meet up this week, so that is exciting!

We also got to go to church this week! It was my first time going to church in nearly 6 months. It was great! Elder Tang and I got to pass the sacrament and give the opening and closing prayers. It was definitely one of the highlights of the week!

I'm really grateful for the gospel and for Jesus Christ. I love how simple the gospel is. The gospel is really just about loving God and loving one another. It's not always easy to do, but that's why we have Jesus Christ to help us along. Love you all! Have a great week!

Prynhawn da!

This past week has been pretty good! On Tuesday I said goodbye to blessed Cornwall. That land has been good to me, and I will miss it very much.

I trained all the way up to Cardiff and met my new companion, Elder Tang, who is from Hong Kong. Elder Tang is a great missionary! It has been great being his companion thus far!

I've also loved living in Wales thus far as well. The accent here is bit different, but I like it! The people seem really friendly! They also have everything written in English and Welsh which is pretty interesting.

We've been trying to set up a lot of service appointments with people in the community. It is difficult trying to talk with people just over technology, and a lot of people need help with garden work and things like that. So we are going to try to do as much of that as possible. I'm looking forward to it!

We had a great district council this past week. We talked a lot about setting goals and why that's important. Hearing everybody's thoughts and opinions really inspired me. It made me grateful to be surrounded by so many young people who are really motivated and want to make a difference. It also helped me to remember how important setting goals is. When we set goals and plans in our lives and try to follow through with them, we are acting and not being acted upon. If we don't have any direction or purpose then we are being acted upon by everything around us. So I'm going to do my best to set some good goals during this time! And I encourage all of you to as well! I hope you all have a great week!

Hwyl!

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are doing well! I love hearing from you all and how you are all doing.

This Sunday we had an amazing experience! It was the 25th anniversary of when the Solihull chapel in our mission was dedicated, so they had an online devotional to celebrate it. And Elder Holland was apart of the devotional! Elder Holland had been in that ward and dedicated it when the Church's Europe headquarters were in Solihull. It was pretty awesome to see Elder Holland and President Hughes on the same screen! I almost teared up when Elder Holland was talking though. He talked a lot about his mission experience in England. He talked about how much England means to him and how blessed of a land it is to him. He said he was born physically in the United States but born spiritually in England. It really hit home to me. The U.K. will always have a special place in my heart.

Transfers are happening this week! I found out that I will be transferring to Cardiff, Wales! And my companion is Elder Tang who is from Hong Kong! I'm pretty excited! It should be a great time! I'm really going to miss Elder Lewis though. He has really had a big impact on me. He's gonna be a brother to me forever! I'll also miss the blessed land of Cornwall. I've been here for awhile, and I absolutely love this place. But I'm excited for this new chapter of my mission. I hope you all have a great week!

Love you all!

Hi everyone!

This past week was really good! We met with a lady who was referred to us by a missionary serving in the best state in the world which is Idaho! The lady's name is Emma. We taught her about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and she was really interested! We're excited to continue teaching her! We had been struggling to find people to teach online, and I had been praying to find someone. We didn't find anyone to teach by our own efforts but rather recieved a referral, and that was a huge blessing! And she is probably more prepared than anyone I've ever taught! We asked her why she was interested, and she said that she had been wanting to make a change in her life at the start of this year, and then the Coronavirus happened which made her even more inclined to reach out to God, so I imagine that the quarantine is helping a lot of people turn to God which is pretty neat!

I hope you all have a great week!

What's good?

I hope you all had a fantastic week! Elder Lewis and I are doing well! We are loving being missionaries and serving together. One of my favorite things about my mission is the friendships that I have gained, especially with my companions. I am really grateful for that.

We had a pretty awesome experience this past week that really reminded me that God is aware of us all. So Elder Lewis and I were walking back home after filming a video for our Facebook page, and we were going to take a certain route home, but then we decided to take a different route so that we could take some videos of the Church and the Helston sign incase we wanted to use it in our video. And so we did that and right as we walked past the church, we saw this lady who is probably in her 60s, and she was really struggling to walk. There was a bit of a slope on the side walk and it was pretty windy, and she just looked like she might fall over. Normally we would just try to avoid her and walk past because of the social distancing laws, but we could tell that she was really struggling, so we asked her if she was alright. She asked us if one of us could hold onto her arm while she walked so that she wouldn't fall over, so Elder Lewis kindly held onto her arm while she walked to the petrol station. And as we were walking she started tearing up a bit and telling us about how her mother recently died and that she was going to be taking her ashes somewhere soon. She also said that her Father had died previously. We were able to share some of our beliefs with her, and we just so happened to have a Book of Mormon with us since we used it while we were filming, so we were able to give that to her which was awesome! We tried to get her phone number so that we could follow up with her, but unfortunately she didn't know it off hand and didn't have it with her. So we might not ever know if anything will come from that experience, but I definitely hope so! I definitely don't think it was a coincidence that all of that happened. And I'm really grateful that we got to experience that.

I hope you all are doing well! Love you all!
