Hello everyone!

How's everyone doing? It's been a good few weeks here in Poole! We've gotten to know lots of new people. We've had lots of outside dinner appointments with the members. We've played basketball with some of the men in the ward. They are all really good to be honest. Our ward mission leader is 6'8" and plays like Kevin Durant. He's honestly a beast!

We also played some mini golf with someone that we are hopefully going to start teaching soon. He said he isn't interested in joining the Church, but he just wants to learn more about religions. But maybe something that we teach will resonate with him. We shall see. We're teaching a lady named Kira. She is progressing pretty well. She's not in our ward, so we will probably pass her off soon. But we had a member join our lesson with her last week, and it was really amazing. The member recently joined the Church, and she was just sharing super powerful experiences. It was great!

We've been able to do service projects as well which has been really nice! I've enjoyed that! We had a pretty neat unplanned service opportunity on Sunday. So in the evening we went to the chapel to work on a few things, and when we got there, we realized we forgot the keys at home, so we had to go back to the flat to get them. It was a bit frustrating, but right when we got back to the flat, we saw that our upstairs neighbor was trying to carry this table down the stairs. She was struggling a bit, so we were able to help her out with it. It was also a good opportunity to meet her. It kind of seemed that we forgot our keys for a reason and that it gave us that opportunity to serve and meet our neighbor which wouldn't have happened otherwise. It was pretty cool!

Love,

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a good week! This week was pretty good! I moved down to Poole! It's been a good time so far! I found out that this place is really really posh. It feels like the Hollywood of the U.K. to be honest. Everywhere you go you see big houses and super cars.

The ward here is also amazing! I gave a talk this Sunday. We had church in person, and they were allowed to have about 60 people there, so it almost felt like a normal church service. We've been teaching a few people. We will have to pass them on to some other Elders who are now covering the ward that they're in. But we have high hopes for this area.

We also played some sports this week which was way fun! We played a game of touch rugby. It was my first time playing rugby. It took awhile to get used to, but honestly it was so much fun! We also played a basketball game with the bishopric and young men in the ward. The bishop was a baller! I was actually surprised with how good some of them were. It was fun!

In part of my talk that I gave at church this Sunday I shared a quote from David A. Bednar from this past conference. He said, "Gospel principles are for me and you what a helm is to a ship. Correct principles enable us to find our way and to stand firm, steadfast, and immovable so we do not lose our balance and fall in the raging latter-day storms of darkness and confusion. We have been blessed abundantly in this general conference to learn about eternal principles from the Lord’s authorized servants. Now, our individual responsibility is to govern ourselves according to the truths of which they have testified." I'm grateful for the principles that we learn in the gospel of Jesus Christ. They really do help us become better people and help us find joy! I hope you all have a great week!

Love ya!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope it was great for all of you! It was nice for us missionaries to be able to watch the Church's general conference this Easter weekend. There were many uplifting messages.

I'm grateful to know about Jesus Christ and His Atonement. It's comforting to know that I can always have second chances when I make a mistakes. It also gives me hope that I will live again after I die and that I'll be able to see my loved ones again.

We have transfers this week. I will be moving to Poole which is on the southern coast of England. Just across the channel is France! I'm pretty sad to leave the missionaries that I'm with now, but it will be alright! This will most likely be my last area which is also sad, but I'm looking forward to making the most of it! Love you all! Have a great week!
