Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic week! My week was great!

This past Tuesday was a pretty special day for my companion, Elder Lewis. He wasn't properly set apart as a missionary before he came on his mission due to the Coronavirus. So on Tuesday we drove up to the new mission home in Bristol to have President Hughes set him apart. It was kind of strange being in the mission president's home, but it was awesome! It was really special witnessing Elder Lewis getting set apart by President Hughes. I was really grateful to be there.

Elder Lewis and I have been going on some runs lately. It has been really nice and helps to clear our minds. We found this really sweet trail that is down a remote path with lots of trees and a creek. We also found this cool rope swing down there.

One of my favorite scriptures is in Alma  34:32. Amulek teaches the Zoramites what one of the purposes of life is, and he says, "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors." I also love the scripture in 2 Nephi 2:25 that says, "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy." I love these two scriptures, because they help us find purpose in life. And even though all of our lives have probably changed quite a bit during this Covid-19 period, we can all still learn, grow, and become better people. We can develop new skills and traits that will help us reach our full potential. And we can still find joy! We can especially learn to find joy in the little things. I hope you all have a fantastic week!

Love you all!
