Hey everybody!

Today has been a pretty crazy day! I dropped off my companion, Elder Anderson. He has finished his mission and is returning home. He has been my longest companion so far, and it was so awesome serving with him! Elder Hewitt is also being transferred to Solihull, which is up in Birmingham. So he's got about a 6 hour train ride tomorrow. Elder Lewis, and I will be staying in Helston. This is now my 5th transfer in Helston and my 7th transfer in Cornwall! I've been in Cornwall for 8 months and during all 4 seasons. There is no other place I'd rather be though. I absolutely love Cornwall! It will always be a part of me!

This past week we joined the Stake institute class over Zoom. The teacher is awesome! We we're going over the Old Testament and the law of Moses, and he shared a great quote with us that I want to share. It says, "The law of Moses set forth detailed, outward laws that Israel couldn't fully keep. Our situation today is similar, as we are under obligation to live by inward laws that we too don't fully keep. It might strike you as odd that the Lord would demand compliance to a set of laws that we, of ourselves, can't fully live. But that inability to fully live the law is at the heart of one of the key purposes of the law-both anciently and today. Perfectionists, beware: The law is designed to expose our imperfection. And therefore to turn us to the only One who is perfect"

I just want to tell all my family how much Uncle Dave Balmforth means to me. Most of you probably know that he passed away. He is definitely a mountain of a man and someone who I have so much respect for. I remember going to his home a few weeks before leaving on my mission. He gave me a huge and detailed book with so many gospel quotes, letters, pictures, and information about my mission. It was such an amazing gift, and I will forever treasure it. I read through that book a few weeks ago with my companions, and they were just in awe at how detailed it was and how much knowledge he put into that book. One of my companions even said "I think I'm gonna message your Uncle Dave and tell him "thank you"! Just know that I'm praying for you all!

Love, Elder Wray
